Dupont clear coat

Hey guys,

I'm here at the dealership getting the dupont coat that i was talked into during the sale lol

My question is, if you guys have it, what is it like? I mean the dealer let me see samples and i thought it was cool only cause of the paint warranty. Lol

Any benefits to it otherwise? Also any tips on how to take care of it?

Thanks!

You already have a clear coat finish, so smart money is that the warranty won't be needed.....have them throw in a catch-can or OnStar, both are as useful.

Protection wise I prefer the 3M bumper clear coat and quarter flares, keep the body clean from daily driving

Have to agree, before clear bra with factory paint way too many chips, since clear bra on custom paint no chips. :o)

Supposedly the dealer says it has paint warranty on bird poos or any other paint damages like egg yolk stains etc...

Warranty doesn't really protect you from damage, it only pays for them
Trust us go get the 3M bumper cover, save you a lot of trouble in the future trying to fix the chips

I just got a used SS Silverado it has this coating and it shines like crazy
The previous owner works for the dealership and said it goes on just like wax.
