Side Window issue - DIC

2010 RS has been showing the open/close drivers window on the center DIC since I have not driven the car much and keep it hooked up to a battery tender. It usually starts with the drivers side then moves onto the passenger side before it is cleared. I took the car in for an oil change over a week ago and the service advisor noticed it too and mentioned it may be from low voltage from the battery etc... told him how i keep the battery maintained etc... well they did the oil change and found the battery to be good. Upon returning home and parking it in the garage with the battery tender for a week or so.. I took the car back out again to move out the lawnmower and sure enough the same thing appears on the DIC. I followed the DIC procedure and after 20 attempts to open/close the drivers side it did not change the DIC message. Does anyone have any insight on this and how to fix? It is becoming rather annoying. If it is the battery... then I will take it back to AutoZone to exchange under warranty since it is only about 3-4 years old. Much appreciated for any responses in advance. Pic below...

I would try this first, disconnect the negative on the battery for about 30 minutes or so to reset the ECM/BCM, then hook it back up, upon startup you will get this message, push the button down on the drivers side, when the window gets to the bottom most position, continue to hold the button down for about 3 seconds to set it, roll the window back up and hold it for about 3 seconds, then do the passenger window the exact same way. If that doesn't clear it, then if the car starts alright I would take it to the parts store and check the battery, possibly it is bad and just doesn't want to hold a charge. Also check your ground wires and cables. Good luck!!

The only time I've ever gotten that message is when i disconnected the battery or when my battery is dead and I had to jump the car. So it's definitely a low voltage issue.

Thanks guys... I haven't gotten around to disconnecting the battery etc for 30 mins or so and troubleshooting. More likely this weekend I will. If it continues and IT IS the problem.. then I will definitely take the battery out and bring it to AUTOZONE and see if they will replace it under warranty.

Update: I took the battery to AutoZone and they said it was bad. Looks like it was the battery after all. My battery warranty expired and it was only good for 3 years. I upgraded to a better battery with a 5 year warranty on it. Currently looking for a part number for the ground cable crimp. Does anyone know where I can order a new GM one exactly like this online? It seems it was discontinued per my local Chevy Parts guy.

Good thing you got it sorted. Do you think something like rustoleum and a wire brush can clean that up?

Or you could have it acid dipped, that would clean it up. Otherwise see if you can find them at a salvage yard near you..

It's actually cracked on the backside as I had no way of getting it off when I loosened the nut. At first I thought it was normal looking and the clamp would tighten when you tighten the nut on top of the wedge... well it didn't work and was still very loose. I used a screw driver to pry it off is when it cracked. I went to the Chevrolet dealer in St Augustine on my way home and they located the part I needed and unfortunately it comes with the whole cable. I went ahead and ordered it and should arrive tmw for pick up. I don't know why my dealer parts guy told me to look on Amazon or Ebay as he stated it was discontinued SMH.. but come to think of it... it was probably because I called him 10 mins before closing time and he didn't want to look into it for me.

Yep, sometimes they just don't want to be bothered. Shame.. I am glad you did find what you needed, even if it has the cable attached to it. Good luck..
