Thanks for the Wickerbill
Seems appropriate to note Dan Gurney's passing. Amongst a lifetime of racing achievements, he is also credited for the Gurney flap that we call a Wickerbill or Wicker Bill. I guess if he drove for Chevy, we'd have called it a Gurney Flap.
He's also credited with being the first to spray champagne on the crowd after a victory, now a common practice. |
