speaking of spares...

where is the spare on this thing? in the trunk? seems like that tiny opening will make it a little annoying to pull a 20" rim with tires on it out of there. better have a strong back!

Not really, more like a can of fix-a-flat.

Are you serious? That's horrible. Why not put run-flats on it and call it a day?

They are trying to keep the price down for us. Does Perelli make a run-flat tire?

Another trunk thread?

A small opening is fine if you're carrying, for example, a bunch of tools...maybe not so good if you want to carry your new lawmower home still in the box.

That is basically why my dad sold his '68 Camaro back in 1970. He went to Sears to buy a work bench, got out to the car a couldn't fit it in the car. So he returned the table and went straight to the Chevy dealer and bought a new K20 pick-up. But he never did go back and buy that work bench. He still has that truck, it doesn't run, but he still has it.

This is exactly why you should always own a truck or at least know someone who owns a truck. Cars are for people, trucks are for stuff.

werd... we've got 2 truck frames in our family... one Tahoe, one Silverado... they're our people mover and dirt hauler, respectively... the Tahoe pulls double duty as our tow rig for the car hauler... when we're going to shows, we take a car... when we're going to do something serious, we take a truck.

p.s.- Was reading some bad reviews from owners with the run-flat tires. I think I'll avoid run-flat tires.

I can't say that I like the small opening, but its not that big of a deal. My brother always has some sort of truck if I need something big moved. Or my uncles or cousins.

That's what I was not hoping for! I hate that Caddy opted the el cheapo way out. I can sort of understant chevy doing that to the SS Camaro, because of the trunk opening being so small! Would the LS or basic non LT have fix-a-flat too?

I'm not worried about the size of the trunk. It wasn't built to haul lumber just A**!
