My modified GM high-wing spoiler
Here it is folks, the idea we all thought would make it look better. Don't try this at home it was a big job. The kind of job once you start there is no turning back. I did not damage or require any paint work for this, it was all done in my garage over the last week. I think it looks better and rear vision is increased as well. I left an 1/8" to 1/4" gap between the top of the quarter panel and the spoiler because the countour does not match exactly. I decided I would use foam tape to solve the issue of what it will do if you close the trunk too hard.

Definitely an improvement. Still too big for my tastes but I'm quite conservative when it comes to these things. How much did you take off?

It ended up being about an inch lowered. I was just thinking "what can I do to this butt ugly spoiler to make it look better without spending $1000"

I feel you on that. The SS I test drove before I ordered my 1LE had that wing. I quickly established that I would not get a Camaro with one of those... What you did is a major improvement. |
