It did 483 whp 445 wtq I called gpi and they even said that number was a little lower than expected. Before I had the cam installed it based at 416 whp with full exhaust with 2 inch primaries and cold air intake on the same dyno..

Thats all that cam will do with stock heads and intake. I have seen plenty of stage 4 cams from other vendors (233 intake range) do what you got so you are on track. That is just the reality of different dynos. If that was SAE it would be almost 500 STD.

For instance, my car baselined 402whp before the cam/rod-mod/25% under drive, and then made 473whp on my tuners DYNO-mite after installing those things, so it was an honest 70whp gain. However, prior to the cam/rod-mod/25% under-drive it also had made 412whp on a dynojet a year or two before, and after the mods it made 497whp on a different dynojet. The only real point in all that is dyno numbers are nice, but they don't mean a whole bunch because they are very subjective to many factors. Unless you've got a before/after number from the same dyno, it doesn't tell you everything. With all that said - what did you're make? Got a dyno sheet? An SS4 in an M6 car should be making pretty good numbers. Are there other factors that make you think it's not properly tuned?

Yea I based at 416 then after the cam it’s 483 .. I guess I have to get some p&p heads next and a underdrive pulley and the intake rod mod. My goal is to get in the tens b4 I go FI ... I definitely see what you are saying .. both before and after dyno pulls were on the same dynojet though

From what I understand it’s a 10 sec cam with ALL the supporting mods .

As you said, with all the supporting mods (including weight reduction) that cam with good heads and a decent intake should take a 5th gen well into the 10s. With an automatic with appropriate gears and stall it shouldn't be all that tough. It becomes a LOT more dependent on the driver when it's a stick car. It can be an expensive learning curve (in the cost of clutches, axles, and rear-ends) getting down into the kind of 60' times needed to run into the 10s all motor. There are a few different ways to get it done, some guys run a bias ply tire along with an aggressive clutch release and let the tire absorb some of the hit, others will use a drag radial with a lot more clutch slip and try to keep the tire hooked the whole way. They both work, I think if you can master the art of the drag radial and clutch slip it's a lot easier on the driveline. Ebrake preload, in either case, helps reduce some of the shock load (and wheel hop potential) by preloading the driveline. Just some stuff to think about if you're a stick car (which is my guess based on your dyno numbers). You got just a slight weight advantage... I'm pretty sure you'll run that thing into the 9s pretty easy - I think you're going to pick up 100+whp with all you've got planned, and that should be enough.

As per GPI .. and I quote” you should be alittle more towards 500 with Your setup “ but I’m okay with it now ... I’m going FI by the end of spring so I’ll live with it until then .. I’m very interested to see what yours does because I haven’t got any feedback from anyone with this new cam but those who I spoke to at GPI...
