Yeah, just figure it will take a week to put those beautiful stripes on and maybe another week to get a train ride and 4-5 days to get out to OK and a couple to get to your dealer. So, middle of May maybe? Look at it this way, she'll miss some of the vicious hail storms you get.

Yeah, I've kinda resolved myself to a mid May delivery date.
So anything sooner would sure be a pleasant surprise!

What's up with yours? Did you get it today?

Nope. I know that the train carrying my car arrived at the truck depot two hours away on Thursday morning. That was my last update. My dealer does not have the delivery prep guys working on the weekends, so even if it was trucked in, it was not going to be prepped over the weekend.

It is supposed to rain all day Monday here, so I've resigned my delivery expectations to Tuesday. I'm looking at the forecast and Thursday looks like a 'convertible day'. I think this is probably how I will view the weather forecast for everyday going forward.

I predict your car will be built early in the TPW. Your status is exactly like mine was--3400 before the furlough. 3400 means your build is literally in the plant computers, all parts are on site and it's ready to build. In fact, if your car is to be finished Monday, the body is already built and painted. Mine went through final inspection during the afternoon shift on Monday 3/17 so the body had to have been painted before shutdown. The way I look at it is, I got the special cure program of an extra week sitting in the plant. Gotta be good for the paint, wouldn't you think?

lol, Indy....definitely good for the paint....not good for the impatient and anxious owner. haha!
I trust the production time table, it's those stinkin' rail cars I'm worried about. I hope this 2 week hiatus will mean the rail cars are available when the line starts up again.
But I tell myself it is what it is...grrrr.
It's kinda like Yogi Bera said...."it ain't over, til it's over." So, my 'yogi-ism' is, I'll get it, when I get it! lol!

Build to delivery

Well, let's see...mine was built on 3/17 and delivered to me on 4/11 so that is 25 days. I sure hope you can do better than that. Once it arrives, all is forgiven and forgotten. So don't burn any bridges! Mike in Oshawa told me that the "midnight shift" actually starts at 10:30 tonight.

First mods underway this morning. RX catch is in, almost done with CAI intake. Just taking a break to find a helpful tip on getting the lid on the box. It's so tight, it's a real PITA trying to get it in position.

It was 78 here yesterday. What a glorious day for the Vert. Same same today (gotta get out before the Masters) then the bottom falls out again tomorrow. Can't we just have vert weather everyday?

Last thing my salesman said to me was, "This car will change your life." I think he's right.

I know this is late, but if you got the CAI brand cai, those screws are quarter turn; and, I think I used a dime or a penney to turn them with more success than hubby's screwdriver. LOL!

Our weather is going to go down the toilet tonight. We have the threat for high winds[already in progress!], and large hail; lower risk of tornadoes, but the threat is still there. Then we get the BIG COLD FRONT with SNOW in the panhandle, and possible 'winter mix' here in the metro for Monday with a high of 39 degrees...blah!
I washed and detailed the interior of Wild Thing yesterday after going to a Adam's detail clinic our club had. Learned how to use some new products, so of course I left with my wallet about $80.00 lighter.

Hope you are having a great Perma-grin type of week end!

Got a lot done today, before sitting down to watch the Masters.

Yes, I got the lid on the CAI. The secret is brute force. The fasteners are quarter turn but the airbox is so tight (which is good of course) you really have to force it into place before fastening it.

Also got RX catch can and separator in. Those are pretty straightforward. My tint guy called and said he had another car he had to get done today and I could come in if I wanted to, so of course, I dropped everything and ran over.

And just to cap it off, I just got done putting gills on. Gave it a quick wipe down with gloss so she can proudly make her first appearance at work tomorrow. I'm ready for headers and tune.
