Hey Pete, Jeff Smith @ Car Craft Magazine is building a TPI-350 S-10. Took the bench seat out, put in two Corbeau Forza 1-piece buckets, with brackets etc. Truck GAINED weight. Say what you like about bench seats (like no lateral support) but they were generally lighter than buckets...especially the ones we have today with 6-way power and side air bags...

We'll make some final tweaks, get the cars polished and be ready for SEMA and the Invitational.

Indulge me for a moment while I ramble on... If the brand-xes really think they are better than Pedders come out and prove it. I am still waiting for them to show up. That is not to say there are not some very good cars out their by shops like Torq, JDP and others. I am saying no other suspension company picked up the gauntlet. Not one. On the drag race side we saw Pedders dominate all year long. The three fastest IRS 5th Gens at C5FEST all on Pedders or the specially built to LPE spec Lingenfelter Drag Coilovers. The top three may change places, but they are on my bits.

Sooner or later we'll get our lunch handed to us. I know that. I am sure that is a day some will relish, but it isn't going to happen this year

On Windtunnel last night, they had a segment on the passing of the "Dean of Motorsports Journalists", Chris Economaki. 91 years young. National Speed Sport News was his baby, and he acted as the 1st pit-lane reporter on televised NASCAR races from Daytona ('63, the year Tiny Lund won on fuel mileage), 'way back when. Taught Ken Squier, and Brock Yates, and David Hobbs, and a bunch of others who followed, how to get those "in your face" interviews..."How was it, out there, Tiny?"

Godspeed, Mr. E.

....the thrill of victory...and the agony of defeat.....that was the only game in town back then (Wide World of Sports), and Chris was the guy....that familiar voice for racing commentary. It's sad to hear of his passing. The bright lights of our generation are slowly but shurely burning out.

I miss the sound of his voice. It reminds me of racing.

There's not much better than the smell of a Bear's victory (um beat down) in Cowboy territory. Too bad Mr. Jones.
