Fuel pump was almost $4k, engine was $7k, axles were $1400, driveshaft $1200, coil overs $2500, bushings $1000, bracing $500, new hood $1200, full interior and exterior lighting mods - $4000 - supercharger $8000 - pulley systems, dampeners, cold air intake, 102mm throttle body, etc - all add up to over $10k. Add it up. That doesn’t include labor which was about 30k.

For those doubting cost, get some experience modding first before you comment. Thanks.
you got hosed on that pricing then...i have a fore triple pumps system that i paid 2200$ for...every option...I have a dart 388 short block that handles 1400hp and that was 7k.....a rpm level 10 6l90e and a zl1 diff with under 7k on the car, and wouldn't ask 40k. just saying...it is a Camaro....doesn't matter if you spent 500k on it....doesn't translate to a sell price.

and this is where you lose credibility when you quote prices..
coilovers..

if you paid 8k to forge your motor....you are crazy...you can get a 388 or 416 lsx or dart short block for that or less.

fore system
you can add every option they offer on a twin pump set up direct from them and not come close.
none of you numbers add up even close.

Ok - believe what you will. I know what I spent. Some coil overs cost well over 4K. I got ones that were like 2500 or so. So what? You can spend a lot of money on a car. You are not counting the price to install these items.

Just FYI - trade in price for a 2013 ZL1 camaro with 32000 miles is $31k... so why is asking $40k crazy for this when it is better than a ZL1? And the new engine has only 3000 miles on it.

I understand - but lets look at it -

Car - $45k
Supercharger $7 or 8k - plus a few thousand to install
VIS Carbon Fiber hood - $1200 + $400 or so to install
DSS Axles and Drivershaft - around $3000 + $500 or so to install
Texas Speed LS3 Engine with all forged pistons/rods - $6500 and about $2000 for labor - plus new engine bushings, etc.
ID1300X injectors - over $1000
Innovators West pulleys and dampener - around $1000
Kooks Headers, Borla S-Type Exhaust - those two together about $2300 or so
Fore Fuel pump system - about $4500 installed

That adds up to about $72k and I haven't even touched the majority of my mods...

Maybe I am not explaining properly - but I also have thousands of cosmetic as well - this isn't just performance - I have custom paint work, custom vinyl, Rohana RF1 Forged wheels (those aren't cheap - $1200 * 4) - Mickey Thompson Tires ($800 just for the rears), Technostalgia tail lights, internal lighting, floor lighting, all internal lights changed, remote control lighting, Oracle side marker concept mirrors ($700), Oracle side LED sidemarkers - Plus install is very expensive for all this stuff. I also got custom carpets, custom sound system (was over $5k). I mean, I am adding this ass up as I go and I am well over $100k already and I haven't even counted most of the install time (which is the most expensive part). I haven't counted the cradle bushings, sway bars, chassis braces, trailing arms, toe rods, coil overs, cold air intake, catch can, transmission cooler, Lingenfelter 2-step controller, line lock, custom wiring and buttons in the dash, custom engraving... **** - it might actually be over $200k when I add it up....

Thats about retail for a 2013 zl1. Wholesale is 20 to 25k.

I was in touch with a guy selling a 2013 1le with a built stroked motor, supercharger, heads and cam plus other stuff and he was asking 28k. There is a 1le on facebook near me that is supercharged and a built motor. He is aaking 38k and haa been sitting on it for 6 months.

When your asking 40k...i think a lot of people realize they arent far off from a 6th gen zl1.

And again....you overpaying for parts and quoting that means nothing..christ..you paid 400$ to mount a hood...it is 4 bolts and took me 30 minutes .There is a reason you are not getting 45k and no one offered you 40k. I have sold a lot of built cars...modding does not hold value...you want that type of cash, you better part it out.
