Amsoil Signature Series should meet or exceed all manufacturer requirements and as it offers far better protection and engine life, can't imagine how it could be an issue.

I use Amsoil Signature Series as well in my V8 L99, just wishing I could be faster than a Bolton V6 on paper......and somebody made the comparison of a V6 to a 396 SS, that is classic.

The only V6 pony car I'd own would be the 3.7L Mustang. I hope you get it taken care of asap. If it were me and you were able to get it fixed again, I'd unload that thing like yesterday and get something more reliable
I agree

Which ones? Fastest bolt-on V6 is slower than a stock L99. Hell, majority of the FI V6 are slower than stock LS3's.

A stock SS 396 from back in the day actually pulled about the same times as the V6.

We don't have enough interest or brainpower on this site to make the V6 fast. Heck, most here can't even figure out how to get past GM's powertrain lockdown to do V6 to V8 swap. The few that do get good results on the V6 platform have either been marginalized into oblivion or they post on here anymore.

There's a guy over on the LFX forum that did Mace cams with some other N/A mods and he pulled a car length on the new "460 hp" Mustang in a street pull. However, the V8 owners don't want to hear about that because it doesn't go with the "V8's are better" rhetoric you hear so often on this site.

All engines have their positives and negatives. However, I'm just describing what I did to mine when I was going through the break-in period. I have a '15 LFX though which has some improvements over the early LLT that you had.

But those cars...like alot of muscle car back then didn't need alot to get then running way better. Headers...intake....carb work and maybe a set of gears with some tires did alot for those cars. It wasn't expensive. If you look at Magnums post....is he wrong?
