New BVM 1LE

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to show off my three week old 1LE. Kind of gambled on the colour and went with BVM, and to me anyways it looks incredible. Pictures just don’t do justice as to how badass it looks in person!

I guess it would be important to state I used to make these beasts back when I worked in the Oshawa Assembly Plant as a student. I still remember the first time I laid eyes on one in person. It was my second day on the job doing the afternoon sift on the Impala line and was just roaming around during the 20 minutes break when I noticed some finished Camaro’s sitting in the dark at the end of the assembly line (Back then the Camaro line was only doing the day shift).

Staring at the cars from a far there was no way in hell I was not going to check them out. I still remember in the dark walking up to an SS and just ogling the exterior lines, the stance, the rims, everything! Out of curiosity and natural instinct I pulled the door handle, it was unlocked! I remember getting in and falling in love, thinking “one day, one day”

Well it’s been five years since. Completed a degree in engineering got my first job and decided the best thing to do with my new found financial freedom would be to purchase a $40,000 depreciating asset which will likely never be worth what I paid for… But hey life’s short and love makes you do funny things!

It is my daily driver for the foreseeable future as my other car broke down the day before I went to pick up the 1LE (Talk about timing).

The clutch for me has been an absolute B**ch to get used to but I am definitely getting there, and loving every minute in the car driveline slack and all! Every time I walk out to the car I have this big stupid grin on my face just thinking about how lucky I have been in life to call such a monster my daily driver!

Who says millennial's don’t appreciate driving?

Second favorite color. The clutch is a little hard to get use to but you'll have it down pretty quick. Mine too was a daily for 5 months. It's a great car to drive but boy after a few months I was done and bought a Colorado. Much easier.

Have fun and enjoy the Ride.

Congrats and welcome! If I had seen BVM in person I may have been talked into it. BRM was pretty neat too, but it doesn't seem to be quite as blue.

The BVM really has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Pictures just don't fully do it justice. I got mine the first week of October '14. While mine isn't a daily driver, I do take it out whenever it is a nice day out. The 1LE really is an amazing machine. Welcome to the club!

Congrats man! I did pretty much the exact same thing, although I just had one as a rental a few summers ago, I never made them. I graduated with my engineering degree last May, got hired in August, and now I've only got 65 (I think) payments to go. Only car here as well. I'd recommend some Nitto NT90 snow tires on a used set of SS wheels by next winter, I made it through the 8-12 inches we got in February just fine on them, including hills.

What type of engineering did you major in?

Welcome. There have been a few new BVM cars show up on Camaro5 recently. I agree that to has to be seen in person to really appreciate it.

Enjoy your new toy. I know I have been.

Awesome! The first 1LE that really sold me on the car was BVM. Enjoy the new ride!
