2013 ZL1 injector question?

Hey guys i recently ordered the lingenfelter 630hp package for my zl1.. it’s got a 2.55 upper pulley with hub, solid isolator bearing, ngk tr6 plugs, and 160 degree thermostat, and bando belt. i already have a roto fab cai, and jlt catch can.. i’m ordering 2” tsp headers and local shop told me i need injectors also since the lsa injectors are maxed out with just intake and headers....?? is this true or will the car be fine with the factory injectors?

Do the injectors and leave room to grow in the future. Minimum 1050s, I went with 1300s.

Find another shop if they told you a cold air intake and headers are going to max stock injectors. All you have done is increase flow by decreasing restriction, you haven’t increased boost, in fact it will reduce slightly. You will need injectors after putting on the upper pulley and the correct tune.

The LSA injectors get tapped out when you run the 2.55" pulley. I'm guessing that is what they were referring too. See what your tuner recommends for the injectors. Some only like to tune using certain brands. We sell a lot of FIC and ID injectors. When you're ready order from us with code CAMARO5 and we'll get you the best price. We carry all the top options.

You will most certainly need injectors.

LPE developed the 630 package on a CTSV which has a dual fuel pump system that runs much higher fuel pressure so they were able to get away with stock injectors on the CTSV

Evidently they never properly tested this package on the ZL1 and just added the ZL1 to the fitment of that kit since they share the LSA engine.

The ZL1 runs out of injector anything larger than 10% overdrive on the supercharger due to single fuel pump and lower operating pressure of fuel system.

2.55 is 18%.

So the pulley alone puts you in need of larger injectors on the ZL1 add headers and cold air and the demand for fuel goes up.

Your tuner is correct.

Ted.
