OK finally had time to get the car out and put it on the hoist and the marks are lined up. It is an older model ,u-joint on one end and cv on the other, does that change opinions on vibration issues? Started putting the stock one back in and read some of these comments again and now I'm not sure if I want to do that.

Rotate the U-joint 180 degrees if you can. I installed a DSS one-piece on my wife's Mustang V6 and we had vibrations at 70 mph, rotated the u-joint at the transmission 180 degrees and it went away. I also had vibrations at 105+ MPH, so I torqued the CV joint to the adaptor in the same way you would do a tire, but starting till they are hand tight, then half a turn till torqued. Took a while but the vibrations and noise were mostly gone.

Make sure the bolts are tight! sounds silly but those bolts are a bugger to get torqued properly!

I'm pretty sure they were tight, I had a hard time getting them out.
Thanks for the suggestion

My aluminum DSS Shop shaft has a vibration in it also. Annoying as hell but I just haven't had time to screw with it.

I'm honestly thinking about putting the two piece back in. I JUST got it all balanced and no vibrations before this one piece. Now its annoying. lol
