Z/28 Spoiler on a Vert... Pictures Please
About to pull the trigger, but I'm still not sure what it will look like. I know the antenna might be an issue, but I'm willing to keep my mind open to options.
Anyone successfully installed the spoiler and kept the antenna on the trunk lid?

I am too wanting to do this with the eBay version. The antenna needs to be relocated.

I actually just ordered an anvil spoiler for mine but before I did I had been doing a lot of research on what to do about the antenna and found a thread where the guy put the antenna attached to the rear bumper, from what I read it worked fine. I saved the link because that's exactly what I am going to do when I install the new spoiler.
This is the link if you're interested, I think its the best rout to go. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272540 |

It's tied with zip ties right behind the license plate, you can see it in the last picture of that post. Other choice you have is to put it inside the trunk which will affect reception or just get a spoiler that's designed for convertibles to fit the antenna in it just like the factory spoiler but I believe I've only seen two spoiler options that's specifically designed for convertibles and I'm not sure if it would fit the 14-15.

When I was looking for a spoiler that would accommodate the antennae all I could find was the SLP. I ordered one then about 2 weeks later I get a call that it was discontinued and got a refund. I then ran across the Phastek ZTA which I liked better and was about $60 less and that's what I have now. Pretty sure they don't make one for 14-15 though, but you might give hem a call. If you're set on the Z28 you'll likely have to do the antennae relocate.

Are the trunk lids the same size as the coupes? I'm guessing they are smaller...

For 11-13 verts the lid is smaller. The lid on the coupe goes all the way to the rear glass while the vert doesn't, but dimension may be the same across the end where the spoiler goes. A coupe spoiler will fit a vert and vice versa. A ZL1 coupe spoiler has a different hole pattern. Not sure about the Z28. Then again, this is for 11-13 verts. Not sure about 14-15.

I read the ZL1 spoiler holes align with the Z/28 holes. I'm more concerned with plugging the holes from the antenna, if I have to relocate it elsewhere. I also considered (if dims are the same on a trunk lid between all 2014-2015 models) buying a used trunk lid and modifying it to accommodate the antenna and the spoiler.

The deck lids between the coup and vert are different. The vert lid is shorter because of the body panel up top that accommodates among other vert things, the 3rd brake light. There is also the hole in the vert lid for mounting the On-star antennae. Pic of my '10 SS. Note lid goes all the way to rear glass. I know a few guys who have Z28 replica spoilers off ebay for 14-15 that fit the basic bolt pattern and fairly inexpensive. Not sure about antennae mount though.
