Need to remove starter for new flywheel ?

Does the starter need to be removed, loosened, shifted out of the way, wires disconnected, etc. to install a new clutch and flywheel ?

It does not have to be, but 9/10 you will, 1 less thing in the way.

Thank You! That’s what I thought as I didn’t see any mention of the starter in any write up or video but I didn’t want to assume as you know what that can lead to

Saw this photo of the starter bell housing cover that's attached to the block between the starter and the bell housing. Look like it seals the starter to the bell housing when the bell housing is mated onto the block
