How to protect outside plastics from wear

Anyone know of some good ways to prevent the seals around the windows, shark fin, and front grill from fading in color? From what I hear the black will eventually fade to an ugly gray over time.

Not sure, but tire dressing? Or maybe the back to black stuff from mothers?

Why I suggested the tire dressing. The stuff I got last time said you can use it on all black plastic to protect it.

Adam's makes a plastic polish that has spf 65 in it.. Its made for clear plastics, but may work to protect the black plastics. Check with Junkman, he may have a better solution. I use Aerospace 303 (autogeek.net) on all of my black trim.

It's called VRT and it works great. It doesn't make the black trim and tires shiny. It just gives it a deep black look to it. It works on vinyl, rubber, tires and plastics including the dash.

Aerospace 303 is some good stuff and highly recommended in the detailing world as a true UV protectant.

You can find it online or at boat/RV stores.
