Anyone see this yet? 3" exhaust convertible kit

Seems like a decent idea. You could use this to make most 3" exhaust kits fit. This would have made it a little easier to make my exhaust fit, but I still got it to fit with just a little extra time and work. Just saw the video when I uploaded mine.

Unfortunately, for your situation it would probably help the braces clear the pipes, but your big mufflers would still hit the big rear part that the braces bolt to.

Your probably right... the mufflers were a seriously close fit, imagine with the gfx now, it'd give ne even less room to work with, probably better off just waiting... hate having such a quiet bad ass car!

By spacing that cross-member, I wonder what it does to the rigidity of the frame? Have you seen any flexing of your frame SUX? My 1970 flexed like a SOB before I got sub frame connectors, I wonder if these convertibles will have the same issues.

I didn't use this, i just thought it would help someone trying to make some exhaust fit. Mine exhaust system fit really close but it fit without having to change anything on the car.

referencing the rigidity of the frame, any time you move the axis you necessarily change the geometry, shift load, or in this case, weaken the joint. This fix looks cosmetic and not as structural as one would hope. Without welding and cascading the diameter of the shims, you will have shear which equals weakness.
