Resonators, who is running them?

Now that I put the Stainless Works Legends on the car it is very loud in lower gears. I am thinking of adding resonators. I cannot run the Magnaflow dual in/out cause I don't want 2 xpipes in the system. I have ARH 2" into a catless ARH long system and now into the SW Legends.

So what are you running and do you like it?

I haven't seen the Legends catback system, but assuming it similar to others, you wouldn't need to run two x-pipes. The magnaflow would replace your x-pipes. Cut out your current x-pipes and weld (ideally) or clamp in a magnaflow resonator.

Adding some green cats would tame it down a bit too, but I suspect you opted for catless for a reason.

I use Vibrant 1795 resonators on mine right between the Kooks green cats and AWE X-pipe.

I’m running:
2” ceramic coated Dynatech headers
3” AWE resonators
Dual 3” in/out Magnaflow muffler
AWE Touring mufflers

Car is still not quiet...LOL. But the Magnaflow took enough of the edge off for street use.

My buddy has CSP 2" headers, GESI green cats, dual Magnaflow 18" x 3" resonators and Corsa Sport mufflers. Zero rasp, very tame until you get on it.

Would there be a downside to running a magnaflow x pipe muffler with the stock x pipe? I was hoping to tone it down a little by running it somewhere before the factory pipe and adding some flex pipes. Now I'm wondering if I should run resonators instead. Anyone running these mbrp ones?

The magnaflow muffler is NOT a true dual. It’s a double Y with a single 3” pipe inside . On the resonators I use the Borla 60608 which replaces the mid-pipe section.

I have LG headers, rotafab, borla s-type cat back and e-50. I added the dual in dual out magnaflow and cut out the x-pipe from the headers, so only 1 x-pipe still. Didn’t loose any power with this set up and made the tone very nice and livable.

It’s not a true X-pipe.

At what power level are u guys at with the Magnaflow? Seems it would be to much back pressure going into a single pipe at higher hp levels? I'm at 800rwhp.

Don’t attempt to use that muffler at that power level. Your going to have a serious restriction.

Just curious but why don’t you want two x-pipes. I have ARH headers, ARH high flow cats, ARH mid pipes with x, 2 16” MBRP resonators into AWE mid pipe with x into AWE Touring catback.

I am concerned with it messing up the pulses, that is why I didn't want to run 2. Maybe it's not an issue.
