My day feels ruined

Hyperbole of course, but... Found my first chip in my rally stripes paint. Was told applying a few coats of IOM paint you buy at the dealer and no one will know besides me. Any tips?

With some colors more layers isn't better for touch up paint. I know with my car if I put touch up paint on, two layers is good but after that it gets darker and darker and starts to look bad. Be careful when applying

How can you live???

Painters tape, focus on the area with a tooth pick or match stick, layer it up, wetsand and you'll be just fine.

I would bet it was done by lifting the hood when the wiper was up

thank the lord for having at least one area of shmap on the car. it's way better to get the initial scratch or dent out of the way than living everyday stressed out over when it will happen.

It just bothered me more because the stripes were done just under two years ago. The car was bought used from Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet. It needed repainting of the doors. I also had a rock put a dent in the roof from a passing dump truck on a two lane road. The odds... Got all that fixed.

This is what I got. One side is like a marker, the other side is a brush. Wish me luck!
