At least with rear wheel drive you can get oversteer to bring the rear around
instead of understeer in a front wheel drive pushing you straight through an
intersection. Try to put more weight over your drive axle in a front wheel
drive. Guess you could stack sand bags on the hood.
I'll take rear wheel drive any day. The only time I've not made it to where I'm
headed, is if they close the highway.

Don't blame that on the imports. I have not and never will own a import. Front wheel is the way to go in the snow. You do not need to add more weight since you already have the engine sitting up front for the ballast.

I was finally able to take it out of the garage today. Tomorrow it's going in for exhaust and headers at BDM.

Great explanation! Thank You

Matrix Accelerometer or Dashawk 0-60 times

Anyone else pick up one of these in Colorado??? I have the Matrix and am curious as to the difference the car is running here vs sea level and it's accuracy.

I managed 4.98 sec for 0-60 with mine...

Don, I completely spaced out that you were supposed to take mine to Sema! Damnit!

I talk to Don about this a few months back. Now that my car is here I'll be heading down there soon myself. He had a good experience with Rocky Mountain Competitive Research, which I'm sure he will he will comment on. Good luck. ~ Rick

I also went down to RMCR on Don's advice, they got me 405 HP at the wheels. Mike is really good at what he does, I will be back next spring for a cam swap and retune.

This is my fourth Camaro in Colorado over the past 13 years and not one has ever had a front plate. I've had one ticket with all four of those cars for the front plate when parking downtown. Just keep the front one in your car and put it on your dash if you park on the street downtown. Everywhere else, you should be fine. If they do stop you, just say you weren't aware it was the law and your car didn't come with one. Or you can get the hideaway plate that goes underneath.

Okay, now I'll sign that petition...

For all the cars that are going to be garaged this winter. Just bought the OEM car cover and it rocks. Fits like a glove. I would recommend this one. Do not believe the imposters that theirs fits better.
