Ran into some issues on my Ground effects that I ordered, worked with the seller today and got it straightened out tonight. So happy I’ll be getting the ground effects kit after all. I loved my last 2010 ABM SS. Did have some frustrations when I was searching endlessly for a NIB Heritage Grill & OEM front ground effects piece, made me feel like the car couldn’t be completed from an appearance standpoint. Appearance wise my new car is gonna end up very similar to the last, but doing performance mods different this time & definitely will be cammed.

That sucks, keep searching they are still out there! I saw a set on Craigslist here a while back that lasted about an hour before they sold. I tried to pick them up but they were already gone. As a side note, I can vouch for the phastek grill being GM, I got one of the first of the batch phastek is selling now. I’m glad they were able to bring them back. I’m always shitting bricks over the gfx splitter, rabbits and squirrels give me great anxiety. My biggest fear is damaging it and having to go aftermarket.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got the ground effects stuff figured out with the seller. Just not getting my hopes up until I hear they’re good to go and ship. Yeah I hear you on the front ground effects piece one of my friends had theirs get damaged, replaced with an aftermarket replica, it worked until it got damaged. I’m pretty sure he’s been without a front Ground Effects piece since they were discontinued. Too bad GM couldn’t bring back the Ground Effects the same way as the Heritage grills, between replacements needed and those who want to add them there would be a market, maybe not dealer by dealer but through a store like Phastek. Not sure if the grills are Phastek exclusive or not, they seem to be the only ones carrying the heritage grills.

Here’s my before and after(well to this point any way)

I’ve added the heritage, painted the bowtie and added it to the heritage, gm dovetail, tinted the windows and a few other small things. Love the wheels on your old car blue Phoenix!

And one more with it bowtie-less, currently the bowtie is on.

Spotted a couple of ABM’s at Camaro Nationals grounds in Frederick, MD this morning, anyone here? Think both cars had White Rally Stripes from what I could tell.

Fredrick huh? I grew up 1/2 hour from there. I had no idea they held Camaro events.

I actually spotted this one in the wild today. I was in my K20 though, would have been cool if I was in my car. I don’t really seem to see ABM’S ever in the wild. Looked like an LS too me, no spoiler, steel wheels etc.

Over the past 10 years they have. Carlisle Events & Maryland Camaro Club had a non-friendly split on Carlisle’s GM Nationals show and thus Maryland Camaro Club started holding their own show at the Frederick Fairgrounds. Show’s been divided ever since and both are on the same weekend so it makes local Camaro owners have to choose one or the other.

I usually don’t see ABM’s in the wild often despite there being several in my own town. There’s probably 3-4 of them V6 & SS but will only see one or two of them every couple months.

Gotcha, I knew they had the show at Carlisle but didn’t realize there had been a split. Maybe next year I will plan a trip home around the show. I won’t have my car there but it’s still cool to come check out what’s going on. I’ve been to Carlisle a million times for GM truck nationals but never for the Camaro shows.

Camaro Nationals is fun because they have some pretty rare Camaros that show up in the special showing building. The year I went had a 2002 GMMG ZL-1 Camaro there along with a couple Yenko’s, a COPO (9561, not a 9560 ZL-1), and other great rare Camaros. GM/Chevrolet Nationals has great cars as well. It’s always nice to see the variety and they don’t disappoint either. I saw 1969 ZL-1 Camaro #35 and #49 there in two different years in addition to the 1964 GTO ringer that GM put against the Ferrari GTO in the 1964 comparison (the only GTO with a factory 421 c.i. engine), the Monkeymobile, and countless Hurst Olds 442’s of all years. I even met Kevin Tetz, former host of Trucks and Lou Santiago, former host of Muscle Cars there. Kevin even took a picture with my Camaro. One day I’ll make it back out again.

Let’s see some ABM’s & tell us about mods you have done! Exterior, Interior, Engine Bay, etc. I want to see the different things people have done with their cars.

+1 I’ve been thinking about giving my L99 engine cover the ABM treatment, anyone got any inspiration?

Please excuse the dirty air filter, but here's some inspiration:
