2011 L99 motor supercharge????

I have SS long headers, Corsa mufflers, CAI that delivers 362.63 HP and 377.55 Max torque as run by Carb Connect Dyno. Can a supercharger be worth it, what type, and most importantly can the L99 motor handle it with the automatic gearbox. The car only has 60,000 miles on it over 10 years. Thanks.

It really depends on what you want from the car. A supercharger could easily added 150+whp without going into the motor at all. Beyond that, you're looking at fuel system changes, and probably a camshaft to improve the breathing through the engine, along with a torque converter appropriate for the cam... it can spiral fast!

Yep what he said. You could put a baby blower on and only make 450-500 but not have to upgrade fuel or go for 550+ and have to do fuel pump and injectors. Stock bottom end should be fairly reliable to 550-600.

Look at my mods in my sig. Stock bottom end and the stock A6 is still doing great. A supercharger is a great option and a huge power gains to be had. I would point you towards the ESS system. One of the cheapest systems out there and one of the highest quality systems. They have great customer service as well. I purchased mine from Jannetty and they gave me a great deal. If you have any questions, feel free to ask

Thanks for your views. I take my car out to the road course on the occasion and tops all the other Camaro's with chargers. I just hate being blown away on the straight away. So the extra added costs plus the turbo make me think again.

Road course I would look towards a centri as they come on easier than a PD. Accidentally hit that boost a little early and you're in for a ride. PD boost hits like a freight train. Street I like the PD. 600whp you should be safe with the A6 tuned correctly.

Mine stayed stock internals, cam and converter for 2-3 years.. 10 psi.. made 575hp 640tq on pump gas at 13 degrees final timing.. the stock trans can handle it but make sure you get a good tuner to tune it.. get rid of the stock converter.. its known to come apart and take out the trans with it..
Engine and trans has since been built... zero signs of detonation on the pistons, no bent rods and the trans clutches looked great, especially for 100k miles of abuse..
I did find a cracked engine sleeve on the rebuild.. if youre going to redo/rebuild then sleeve the block, replace with a built motor or an iron block 6.0.
Good luck.
