ya, but then you totally lose the adventure of putting it together 2 or three times, because you keep forgetting pieces.

I made up my mind and I am definately going to attempt this. People may look at me like I'm crazy (including my dad). But i want an LS9 in my car. I'm saving all my money for this project. It should take about 10-18 years just to save the money. but it will be worth it.

does any one realize that by placing the LS9 in the camaro SS you will need to do a lot more that just swapping out the engine. You will need a complete suspension change and larger oil pan. Cost of every thing including the LS9 could set any one back at least 40-50k. Possibly changing the transmission ext.

lolwut? the ls9 is a dry sump system so no deep oil pan. and why would you need a complete Suspension swap? the tr6060 is the same transmission used in the Zr1 so it if there is a difference in the internals, which i doubt since more different parts with the same externals means more sku's which means more overhead, put together it means the ls9 will work fine with the manual. i dont know were your pulling $40k-$50k from but its way high.

Turn key LS7 is $17,xxx. I'd suspect the LS9 will be around 20k.

Dude I know the LS9 by its self would not cost that much. I am talking about evert thing included the cost of the car, base Camaro SS, purchassing the LS9 ext. sorry if i was not so clear in were 50k was coming from.

Cost of every thing including the LS9 could set any one back at least 40-50k. i guess when I said cost of every thing, no one takes the cost of the car as being part of every thing. lol, lol, lol. sorry had to rub that one in.
