LSA for me! I don't care what gas costs, it'll be my weekend nausea-inducing (for passenger) time warping 600+HP with mods GT500 eater. The fact that it'll be another year or so after launch just gives me that much more time to save for a down payment. I think I'd kill myself if I ran out and bought the first V8, then a few months later having this rumored leviathan-of-the-road unleashed. I've been waiting for this car for 10 years, no way am I gonna cheap out and get the base model.

I'm holding out for an actual LS9 or better. I don't mean better power wise but technology wise. If GM insists on downgrading the LS9 for the Camaro with things like Hyperutectic pistons so I can't bump the power back to LS9 specs without breaking it then I'm not going to buy a Camaro.

I know times are different now but that doesn't change my desire to have something along the lines of what the ZL-1 was in 1969. Only add some modern comforts to go with it. They don't even need to badge it Z28 or SS. Just let me walk into the Chevy dealer and check that little box that drops the identical "top dog" Corvette engine into my Camaro and I'll gladly pay the premium price. For that matter, put some carbon fiber fenders and hood on it just to get the right weight balance. I'd be in heaven!

Oh. Also don't make many and don't advertise it. That'd be sweet!

Base V8 Camaro SS for me. If the LSA was coming out and ready to order at the same time as the Base, then I'll have to reconsider..

My guess is that it will be in limited production numbers similar to the '96-97 LT1 SS camaros, which was around 2400 per year I believe...

I like to have a car under 40k. So no. SS is good enough for me.

If I don't get a G8 GT then the LSA will be under the hood. If I break down and get the G8 then i'll be looking at the DI V-6.

And What are your plans. Leave it stock, bump it up, What's the hp numbers you ultimately want out of the beast?

Spill it!!

I said it in an earlier thread. I won't be getting many interior or exterior options. But I will have all the suspension and power upgrades I can afford. I'll probably order mine a year or so after they hit the streets.

Once I get it I am shooting for 600 rwhp by the time I'm done. Hopefully the bottom end will hold that much without putting LS9 internals into it.
Hello , I have read this forum for quite some time but this is my first post.
After reading many threads do you guys really think that the Camaro would get a Z28 w/ a LSA or some sort of superchargered V8!?

Because GM will not let the Camaro over power the Vette.
I think you will have the base V6 ~250hp, then 300hp V6, and a SS model with the ~361hp-365hp engine from the G8 GT
Then the Z28 with the LS3 making like ~430hp or so
I really dont see GM having the Camaro out power the Base Vette..............
I think if we are hoping for a LSA Camaro we will be sadly mistaken

Welcome to the site!!!!!

Well, Mr. Lutz has already said he has no problems stepping on the Vette where power is concerned.

Also, how do you explain the LSA in the CTSV, a luxury sedan with more power than the base vette??? And the fact that we've confirmed at least one test car has a supercharged engine in it?

Ok, I didnt know
Where is Mr. Lutz press release?
I wish GM would have had this thought with the SS and put the LS6 in the SS Gen 4 Camaro,

Why not? Pontiac put LS2s in the GTOs which were in the Vettes not too long ago...and since the newest, baddest Corvette has like 638 hp, they could make it 550-600 hp and not step onto "Vette territory", if that's a concern.
