Congrats on finally getting the noise fixed. Mine was t as lout as others have posted but it’s a relief not to hear the tapping.

Alrighty, i've been following this thread for a while.it seems to be a fairly straight forward and simple fix once you have the part. I took mine into the dealer last September for this issue along with the service bulletin i found here on second or third page of this thread. They told that it was a difficult repair and had to take supercharger off and tear into the engine . So Im living with the tick.
Did I get the wrong info or am I just being snowed. if someone could provide me with a part number and basic procedure Ill regroup and approach them again to get it fixed. It is annoying. thanks for any help.

You got bad info. The exhaust has to be dropped down is all.
Have your dealer call the GM tech line for instructions (mine ended up doing that).

Had this ticking problem when new, dealer had it for a month but finally got it fixed.
