My 1/4 mile times July 3rd 2011

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my dragtimes for this past weekend. My goal was optimistic I was hoping for 12.5 but quickly realized that would not be possible. I managed a 13.26 @ 113 mph. DA corrected 13.05 @ 114.8mph.

heres the link to the thread that the video is embedded in:

thanks for watching!

WOW, yeah that 60ft is killing you. Not sure what the problem is, but you will be well in the 12's when you get that launch figured out.

yeah bigtime killing me! I figured it would get in the 12s with a good 60ft but I just don't know what it is that is preventing me from launching the car well....Maybe it is the track? Maybe its just me? My brother tried a run in my car also and his time was worse than mine so I just cant figure out whats going wrong. Too little gas and it bogs and too much gas and it spins. I was thinking my mags might play a part in this

Any pros out there that can give some insight on this?

Just need a little more seat time. Keep changing the rpm's till you find the sweet spot betweeen bog and spin, and the short times will get better. Once you get down to a 2.1 or 2.1 short time, you'll be in the 12's. Good luck.

Yep, find those rpm's to hold at, I would say between 2 and 3K, and don't slam the throttle, but quickly roll into it. This will help your wheel spin and get you up to speed quickly. Oh, and don't miss a shift.

Thats what Im going to have to do....

But I can say out of my 12-15 runs every shift was perfect. Mind you there are only 2 shifts per run but still thats 24-30 perfect gear changes
