Welcome, Jenn!!!
You can also introduce yourself here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...?t=551&page=11 What types of cars have you had before? What about the Camaro inspires you? Inquiring minds want to know.... As far as affording the thing....don't spend on anything you don't need. Try to get a credit card (if u dont already have) -- and charge SMALL amounts on it every month, and pay those amounts off, in total, every month! If you do, you will build CREDIT. If you build CREDIT, you will be ahead of the game. make sure you dont make any late payments!!! (this is very basic stuff, but you didnt let us know how far along in the "finance game" you are).

Listen to Dave Ramsey. All I have to say. If you follow his advice, you won't only get the Camaro taken care of, but your life can change dramatically for the better as well. D@mn....I sound like an infomercial here....bordering on SPAM!!!! LOL! Seriously, check him out. Great stuff. |

Welcom to the forums, Jen. My best advice for saving cash -- cut up plastic and only pay with cash or debit card (hard to get into debt when you can't put it on a credit card); set a budget and live by it; keep your receipts and start a ledger to track your spending. When you start seeing the money add up from you saving, it's a great feeling.
Easy for me to say now. Fortunately my wife does the finances because I was terrible at it.

http://www.5thgen.org/index.php?page=StevenSimply **Thanks MINDZ, for great advise !** !!! As for how far along in the finance game I am.. I don't have much to put towards savings after all the bills and living expenses. But I am trying really hard. So far, I've managed to save almost two thousand within four months :/ I'm hoping that all my accounts and what not will be paid off by next year and will have a positive impact on my credit. How much would you say is a FAIR down payment? Quote:
Hey TAG I really appreciate that. I was at Costco yesterday and wanted to find You're Broke Because You Want to Be: How to Stop Getting By and Start Getting Ahead by Larry Winget, but they didn't have it and I wasn't going to settle. Anyway I have just purchased The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey from ebay. Hope it's everything I need and more lol
