2012 = 45th anniversary?

I know chevy offered 40th anniversary diecast Camaros in 2007, but has there been any word about 2012 being the 45th? It makes sense, but I am wondering if they would offset the 45th anniversary mark a few years since no Camaros have been in production since 02.

Saving a ton of money is the biggest reason I am waiting until 2012, but I have never owned an anniversary model, so thats another reason I am holding out till 2012. If I can hold out from buying one until then anyways.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to wait that long unless absolutely necessary—kudos to you for patience. I wouldn't be surprised if Chevrolet offered some sort of special 45th anniversary edition. It'll keep the hype up on a new muscle car.

Good question.. Hmmmm. If they announced that there would be a 45th anniversary model in 2012 I might actually wait the extra couple of years (and then just pay it off cash)

Cool. I was planning until waiting until 2012 anyway. I hope they do offer one. For all the people buying early, then the 2017 50th anniversary edition will come out right when you're ready to trade in for a new model. Sweet.

After some more thought I'd be torn as to what to do.

It's been my plan to buy the first SS Model available and drive it only on weekends/once in a while to keep it cherry for a long time, but on the other hand it might be cool to do the same thing with a 45th or 50th anniversary Camaro.

Maybe this means I have to buy one in 2010, make it my daily driver, and buy another in 2017 to keep cherry O.O

Ohhh Man. I'm impatient as it is. I think I may lease my first new Camaro. So much is uncertain. FBodfather made it really clear for us to have patience and that we would not be disappointed.

I'd like to see an aniversary car though. Would they take account the 8 year hiatus though?

my budget is making me wait till around 2012, so it would be really cool if there just happen to be an anniversary edition came out that year...

What about the 2011s? That will be the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet. That is when I would be watching for something special.
