I have hotchkis sway bars but the mounting points are the same. The biggest difference are the 3 mounting points for the diff. and the bolt sizes for assembly.

What gear ratio does it have? Are they the same as the SS's auto and manual gear ratio's. I wonder if when you order the kit there will be different gear ratio's to choose from? Anyway good luck with it, keep us posted!

Jason P have you tried putting the ZL1 diff in your ss cradle or a're you just swapping parts from the ss to the ZL1 cradle? The kit is supposed be a bolt in kit( may require additional parts). If I don't have to wait for the kit I don't want to.

The zl1 diff physically won't fit in the ss cradle unless you do some cutting and welding.

If I can save a couple grand doing the ZL1 upgrade, even if I have to do some cutting and welding then that's more money to upgrade the trans and clutch!
That's the ratio I want too! Thanks for the info, please post when you have it all together, are you using the cooler?

Talked with ADM and the ZL1 diff fits the ss subframe no modification needed. So it looks like i have another project to start before spring and going back to work.

That would make it a lot easier if that's correct.

ADM response. No pics,Sorr Alright with my wife because I only got to get there anywaysy! We have installed the zl1 diff in an SS FRAME once, everything Bolts right in with no clearance issues.I do like the zl1 subframe better as it has larger bolts for the swaybar as well as 1 larger bolt up top in a key spot for strength. Good luck and if you need one of our trams flanges we have plenty in stoc

I just took out the rear sub frame on my car and there is a lot of room to work with, I really don't see GM selling a bolt in kit and then making the customer "hack" the existing sub frame to make it work. I am installing a new fuel pump, axles and driveshaft. Figure I would take a couple of pics so you guys can see how much room there is.
