Stock Main Caps

Wondering why GM only used a stamped steel strap on only one of the End caps?? Do the 11 12 and 13 models have the steel strap on both End caps?

Edit: I meant End caps in the Diff

I think it has to do with the direction of the torque when it is under a load. In other words, one side of the carrier has a much higher load on the cap than the other. Either way....it's a good excuse to upgrade to the JRE Billet Caps.

Bumping this. Has it been confirmed that only the 2010s have the strap? Has anyone figured out why not all of the rears have them? It seems like a good idea in theory.
