Mine work like they're s'posed to. I thought about disabling them after I got my windows tinted but I don't think it would make a difference since the tint's pretty dark.

I don't think they should be so dark that you can't see anything behind you unless there's headlights there, though. My DS turns more of a deep blue color and the interior is a medium grey.

I love my auto-dimming! I'll never have anything else.

Actually the driver's side mirror is a bigger problem than the rear view mirror. Is there a separate sensor that can be blocked for that, or is it the same as the rear view mirror?

Mine just turn black and you can't see anything except headlights. It is dangerous.

Is it normal to only have my driver side and rear view mirror dim? My passenger side has never dimmed before...?

Yes, that is the way they are designed to work.

Passenger side mirrors are convex. I'm not aware of any manufacturer that has created a way to auto dim convex mirrors effectively.

My rear window is tinted and my dimming mirrors work fine. But, as I noted earlier, the mirror I had from the factory was defective. Once I got it replaced, it worked perfectly.

I covered the front facing sensor, and it still would not dim. Me thinks I need to take i in for a replacement.

Yes, I can confirm that only the driver's side and the rearview mirror have the dimming feature.

What about turning it off, which is what I asked in the first place.

I would hate auto dim, I keep my mirror on dim 24/7.
For some reason not all drivers agree to have their headlights in my mirror at all times.

Since it is on dim almost all the time at night, I cannot see any car that does not have its headlights in my mirror.
