AGP twin turbo

just came across the AGP twin turbo setup, and was wondering who all is using this set up and which AGP parts did they go with? i also want to know what mods are also done to there car besides the kit and what there dyno numbers are? also if you would like to share track times that would be great.

i have a 418 ls3 and full drivetrain and was thinking about maybe going with a twin turbo set up and just came across this but i was wondering how reliable this kit is and i would want the most out of it. not worried about the streetable part because its not my daily.

Interesting with a 418 and built drivetrain. Maybe you'll be one to actually get good track times and not just high HP

Several AGP cars have gone well into the 9s, so not sure about the quips about track times. Still haven't seen a faster stock long block car than Kevin's who went 10.8@136mph on a stock long block L99. Josh went 9s in his ZL1 TT, Derrick with forged 376 stick car ran 1000ft track but had 1000ft times that was well into the 9s if he ever took it to a 1/4.

Call AGP, or I'm sure you will get plenty of feed back here. They have cars making from 600-1500rwhp on their twin kit. Several cars with 40k+ miles of trouble free operation. There is also a lot of vendors you can contact. Vengance, FSP, Lethal, LMR, JRE and the list goes on and on. Plenty of shop support out there.

They cast the parts to ensure OEM level reliability. They use the best IMO turbos for reliability. Everything is top notch. Can support 1600+rwhp if you want.

AGP has done several stock 1lEs from dealers that left with 800+rwhp. Basically just need fuel and motor to support whatever power you want. If your 418 is built for 1500rwhp, if you had the fuel system to support that, the turbo setup can do it.

yeah exactly and i know either way this kit will be a good kit but i want it to also be a lasting kit that stuff wont just go wrong with, i have the supporting mods to do everything right now i just want to make sure im still going the right directiion with what kit i pick. i also am a M6 car so it will definately be interesting to see what my car does with that much power.

Haven't seen a faster stock long block time then Kevin's 10.80's, surely you are just referring to the twin turbo kits on the matket and not the rest of us FI cars because there plenty stock long block Gen5 that are way faster, just not turbo cars.

Where? I was referring to all 5th gens. I'm talking stock from TB to pan, no cam, no heads, nothing else. Maybe there is, but I haven't seen it.

Looking around I see one other TT car with a TH400 that went a bit faster but 10mph slower in trap. A lot more drag race oriented.

Either way, 10.8@136 on 18" nittos, no suspension work, no engine work is damn impressive for a 5th gen, not even taking into account doing that in 3500+DA.

Every other FI car I find in that range at least has a cam. If not heads and cam.

Ok, I guess the cam only goes against what you were claiming so you might have a point, but there are 9 second cam only FI with everything else stock Gen5 though.

I didn't say his pass was slow or not impressive, just misunderstood your stock long block comment, it's all good.

Yah, no problem. I'm sure there are some faster out. That was his wife's car, driven to track, clicked off a few 10s, went home. With a nice stall, good tires, and some suspension should have been quicker.

Either way, there are plenty of fast TT cars out there.

I think he is putting the car together (been apart for part testing forever) with some mods to actually hook, and their new fuel system to see how fast he can go on a stock motor.

I wanted a twin Turbo stsem when I got my car, I'm a Turbo guy at heart, Turbo RX7, Turbo ZX14 bike also, but the car had a Maggie on it already so I'm just playing with it to see how far I can take it, next step I'm sure will be back to my roots and a Turbo system will go on.

Thumbs up for the AGP kit. It's quality stuff and well engineered.

Sounds like your 418 will have no problem off the line on boost or off.
