No comparison. If you have the means, by all means the M is a much better car.

The horsepower to weight ratio of the M3 is similar to the Camaro. But the DSG transmission gives it a huge advantage in acceleration which is why the 0-60 and quarter mile times are quicker. It's the same with the Lexus ISF, the transmission makes the car.

Yeah, but 100 lbs. doesn't account for 3+ mph traps.

$49,000 invested so far.

510 RWHP and 464 Torque on 7 psi of Boost.
This is an L99 auto so the Engine is producing ~640 HP. The ZR1 is 638.

2SS/RS with ground effects, Pro Charger P-1SC-1 supercharger with a Custom 3 core intercooler, Kook long tube headers, Corsa Cat back exhaust, MSD wire kit, and a breathless performance tune.

3600 (a base stripped M3) is more like 300lbs

vs M3?

LOL

Yea, in a straight line, if you don't count the HALF TO 2/3 of a second the Camaro is behind by 60mph, or any effort at TURNING, then it's possible the Camaro driver will still be able to SEE the M3 ahead of him, pulling away.

But there's not half a dozen people on the planet cross shopping these two. The M3 has very conservative styling, and cutting edge technology and performance.

m3 is better overall of course but tq is a big aspect of a car for me and the bmw lacks it imo. small high revving v8 yes, but i prefer the tq of the LS
