It's only for tonight. I have to have it out by shift change in the morning or the next Capt. would yell at me. I'm hoping no chiefs come by since I've been on the $#!Tlist for the last few years. I had the car off the trailer for five minutes and a stranger came by to take pics. 30 minutes later a friend I hadn't seen in awhile came by to check it out when he saw it from the road.

Great looking car! Glad to see you finally got your ride...pretty sure you've been waiting the longest for a 1LE on this site haha

It looks more red in person than these pics. I'm going to try and park it next to a Victory Red Camaro when I see one to get some comparison pics.

I will post a thread in the 1LE section with full driving impressions and more pics once I've had the chance to drive it.

Edit: None of my pics will upload. I have had trouble with my camera and posting pics on here before. I think it is because the file size is too large and over the site limit. Any suggestions?

CONGRATS!!!!

is going to seem like a reeeeealy long time away......

Congrats. Long wait. Don't get fired by the chiefs and stay low. Your rings are seated; my dealer said these engines are pre run at the factory. Now the drive train ... That's another story. Enjoy!

Ha. I will go to bed early tonight like a kid on Christmas Eve.

I assure you the pleasure was all mine. Thanks again for making this a memorable experience and not just selling me a car. I will definitely try to send people your way when I hear they need a vehicle. I told Mike maybe he will bring me a Silverado one day. Now to get back to work and get this thing paid off early. I can't wait till tomorrow when I'm behind the wheel.

Thanks! The SS armrest is a dealer installed option (LPO) and costs around $220 bucks. They should be available at Chevy parts dealers.

Thanks. I appreciate everybody's advice on break in but I'm gonna try to take it easy like the owners manual suggests. I'm willing to sacrifice a few horsepower for some extra reliability. I've never had a vehicle that cost anywhere near what I paid for this masterpiece.

Thanks. I've done quite a bit of sitting in them since I can't drive it yet and feel like the seats were custom made for me. I overestimated the size of the seats judging by the pics and thought they would be bigger on me even though I'm 6'3" 210. So far they feel just right.

It's not really the engine as much as the rearend. Although it does pay to be kind to your engine early on.
