Transmission tune for auto 2010 Camaro ss

I am going to take my car in to get the flex fuel sensor kit along with injectors, fuel pump and dm fpcm and of course it's going to have to retuned. I read somewhere that a trans tune for the automatics will give you gains in power. Is this true? I know the tuner can adjust your shift points. I just want to get it out of the way since it will be at the shop anyways. In the future I might get a torque converter( don't know which one yet) and transmission cooler.

Did you feel a gain in power after the tune?

Makes a huge difference, I was a non-believer until I got mine done. I always thought there is no way it will make that big of a difference, but it does. Now I have a cam to go along with it, waiting to get a converter and cooler.

Oh wow, I didn't know it is that noticeable. Did you have to pay extra to get the trans tuned or when you got a ecu you said to also tune the transmission as well?

My trans tune was done with my dyno tune. The trans tune alone imo is the biggest difference maker when it comes to the l99. I raced at an event last year with just my mods and stock tune. I had my dyno tune done 1 week before I attended the same event. After just one pass I got to feel the full impact at wot throttle of my tune. The car just keeps on pulling....harder shifts holding the revs. It feel alot better around town but it's the first time you can really go hard that you appreciate it. Tune it. ....best thing you could do.

You will feel the tranny tune right away. With your mods and a trans tune your car will really come alive. You will wish you has done it sooner.

Now I really want to get it done lol. Hopefully, he doesn't charge me extra for the transmission tune.

Yah, I'm pretty sure I just had it dyno tuned. And I heard that when you get a trans tune you start the manual paddle shifting mode on m1 instead m2. Is that true for you as well?

I realize I haven't had my vehicle for long, but after 2 and a half months and 1,200 miles I fully intend on getting it tuned (and tuning out AFM in the process) in a few weeks. I ordered a cold air intake, catback exhaust, and long tube headers through Cordes Performance and will be dropping off my car there soon. I also plan on doing a ported throttle body and a ported intake manifold. I honestly have no idea what I am in for, but I am very excited. I will be doing a baseline dyno as well to have something I can compare it to.
