holy chit, dragtimes has the DA at -375. I would kill for that kind of air around here! haha

You see the DA for those 11 second auto times? I think one was -2500! I have never had better than 500.

If that doesn't qualify as "stock" it's pretty ridiculous. On all the other fast lists, it would be considered stock. heck, the S197 fast list allows stock cars to sen have wider tires, as long as they are still street tires....
I wish we could put it as bone stock and think it should be but based on the rules Merc posted it should be Cat. 3. I wish I was wrong.

The discontinued argument doesn't make sense to me..Stock means factory stock tire..If Chevy stops using the Goodyear's and goes to something else, then stock is what Chevy put on it at the factory. It does make for a gray area and like I said I personally still view that as stock but Merc made the rules...

Edit: He does have DR's according to the fast list but obviously that has nothing to do with what we're talking about here. LOL (maybe this wasn't as funny as I thought initially)

Well, no offense to Merc, I appreciate him doing the lists, but why does he get make the rules if some don't agree with them and they don't match other forums? I think we may need to start a poll and see what the forum wants as a whole...I mean he has street tires on the car, that is STOCK.

As for the tires, I think you misunderstood me...I mean if say those tires are discontinued in say two years. So people who already have the cars can't get them, and have to put a different tire on their cars....by this logic, that would mean all those cars are now "modified"...makes no sense to me...

Not looking to stir the pot, but some of the "rules" don't match many other forums fast lists, why make ours tuffer and hurt how our list looks to others?

In my opinion, street tires mean you should be in category 1....your car is "stock".

yes I do have DR's as well but just put on a set of Cup tires and new rims a week ago, The DA was perfect or even better than perfect to be exact around -500 for those passes but I didnt think DA mattered...

Hey Snowbird, That was my first pass on the day, I followed that up with the 11.967! As I said when I woke up yesterday morning the DA was -500 at the track so I head down (it was a holiday here yesterday) not sure what it was exactly at the time of the passes but sure it was -something.

Hey I think it's a great run. I don't think DA should matter.

The DR comment was based on SS 1LE saying you didnt have DR, slick..etc.. I just jokingly pointed out that you had a DR run on the list..that must have went over heads or not funny? Oh well.

Grats dude. Keep it up!

No... best on the list is -8-900. Never even heard of -2500 in my life lol. There's also an auto running 11.9@118 in +180 DA

He cut a 1.8 60 on those tires. And broke an axle. Tricky situation. I don't know if I'd call it stock or not...

I'd say the replacement tires need to have similar wear rating and compound hardness etc to the stockers to still be considered stock.

Acto in NJ has DA around -3000 a lot during the winter, I've been there. And one of those auto posts on here, it was a blue car, had a -2500 DA...
