Cool Questions from a new car owner.

Hello camaro5 community.

I just bought my Camaro 2SS RS today. (I'll post pictures later.)
And as a first car owner I have some questions...

How many miles should you swap out the brakes and the cost to replace?

Does OnStar come already activated?

And I was thinking about adding ground effects on it so, can you just go to any chevy dealer and ask them to put it on?

1.Depends on your use, this brakes should last a good while and the prices are going down on them just like the tires so its hard to say the cost right now.
2.No you have to do this, the sales men should have done this with you at the dealer.
3.Yes.

Gratz on you first car.

You should get at least 30k miles out of your brake pads with normal usage. Cost isn't much, under $100 I would image. Calipers and Rotors are another story, if you need to replace those under 100K miles you are driving the vehicle pretty hard.

The salesman should have activated Onstar for you at the dealer, either way you can do it by pushing the button and talking to them through your car speakers.

Go to the Chevy dealer and speak to the parts department, they can order you the ground effects...

Your dealer needs to activate Onstar. As far as brakes go it all depends on the driver. Some people are very hard on brakes and others are not. Depends on you. Wright now you need to focus on breaking the car in properly.
