Over all mileage since new with 10,946 miles is 20.85. Mostly short trips. Have seen a high of 26.2 on the DIC for a drive of about 75 miles and a low of about 15 after some non-environmentally friendly driving. Depends on distance right foot is from the firewall and how fast it moves toward it.

2011 V6 2LT Gas Mileage

My gas mileage as tracked in software package, "CARCare". Use mid-grade 89 octane gas from Shell or Chevron only (Top Tier gas bendors). Have company car so Camaro is a weekender toy. 3,382 miles on it. Signature shows mods. I thought I'd get better mpg...
Jan'11 18.86 mpg
Feb'11 19.80
Mar'11 20.43
Apr'11 21.13
May'11 22.64
Jun'11 20.44
Jul'11 20.38

Was your guys average way down when you first got the car? Like I asked is there a break in period where you just expect bad gas milage?

Mine seemed to go up about 1.5mpg on the first 1,000 miles but hasn't changed much since.

sstaub, your gas mileage has many different variables to it. The engine being in the break in period can be one of them. Your driving style would be another and the list goes on and on as to all the different things that can influence your gas mileage. I hope that helps to answer your question.

If you haven't already done so, clear the MPG info and see what a single tank does for you under normal driving conditions.

As Jeff mentioned above, driving conditions, location, temperature, running A/C, leaving the vehicle idling for periods of time, etc can all significantly impact the mileage.

Another option is to simply reset your trip odometer at the next fill up. On the next trip to gas pump, do a simple math of dividing your miles traveled on the trip odometer by the gallons you pumped.

The mileage listed on the DIC is not particularly accurate, but shouldn't be off by too much either, but can be impacted if it has "bad data" stored. I have been checking to see how accurate the DIC reading is by resetting it each fill up and calculating it manually to compare. So far I have seen differences of about plus or minus 2 MPG.

my mileage averages 19.5 to 20.3 around town in Drive or Sport modes...but the better half likes to use tap shift, and keeps the revs up, and when he drives, it drops the mileage down to the low 18's....

Highway, I'm getting 23.5 or so, but there haven't been any really long road trips.
