Give 'em another chance, man. Not like 40 is "old", really. I bet a lot of those people are really cool, and you could probably learn a bunch of great things from their experiences with cars and probably Camaros specifically. Just my two cents worth...

I'm in the Phoenix area and I'm 24. There are two other Camaros at the company I work for, one of them is my project manager (late 20's I'd guess) and the other is owned by a more senior woman in the office. I bet the demographics are pretty evenly spread. Perhaps the older crowd is more enthusiastic than us youngin's about going out and meeting other Camaro owners on the weekends?

*btw - first post here at Camaro5 after lurking for some months. *

2/3's of my friends are now in their 40's. I'm 24 years old and have known these gents since I was 18. It's all about maturity and how you can relate to these age groups. If you don't mix well with the older crowd maybe you just need some matureing to do before you're comfortable with these age groups.

I go to Scottsdale a couple times a year and always see older people in Camaros. There are tons of Camaros there. My neighbor there is older with a Sim SS, he's older, but the guy across the street from us has the cool car, nice Aston Martin in his garage

They're are plenty of young Camaro drivers.
On the other hand, a similar GM car that is populated by older guys is the Corvette.

I bought mine while barely in my 20's. Here in the Tucson club there's a couple young guys who are in college at U of A. Also a few from the Air Force base and Army base in SV that are young. Remember some of us have young kids commitments at the same time as Camaro meets. Guys 40 and above generally have kids gone or teenagers so it's easier for them to make events.

I just got a 2014 for to celebrate my 25th birthday. Best present to myself ever. The Camaro isn't exactly cheap and us "young people" are making less on average. So I guess it makes sense that the majority of owners are older people who have more money to spend on things like the Camaro.

I haven't gone to any of the PHX meetups because the people on the Arizona club's forum seem to be a little too sensitive. There was a good discussion going on and somebody just locked the thread? I don't get it. If they act like that behind the keyboard, they are probably like that in person as well.

Bought my 2SS in summer 09 at 25. Maybe you are confusing a small demographic of a car meet with actual demographic of camaro owners. Most 20 something's are racing or trying to get laid with their camaros. If you dont like old people definatly dont buy a vette and go to a vette meet hehe
