Is this true?

Does anyone know if it is true (For the SS vehicles) that if the SS emblem is white/silver then it is a non-RS and if the SS emblem is red then it has the RS package?

I thought I heard someone say something like this in another thread. Thought it was an interesting fact if it is true.

I had already new that the RS package had wider back tires than the front, and the tail lights have a chrome accent, plus the front lights. I just thought it was interesting that different emblem colors determine if it's RS or non RS. Thanks everyone.

Yes they are, but they're all like that. It's not apart of a package. 275 rears and 245 fronts.

Really? I thought I read on Chevy website that the RS back tires are like 1 or 1.5 inches wider. Didn't realize it was standard on all SS.

No you can't....GM in their infinite wisdom puts GIANT SSbadges on the Monty, Trailblazer,Impala, and Cobalt but puts two tiny little badges on the outside of the Camaro... you can barely see them let alone know what they say...I guess by the color you could tell if it is an RS or not... so I guess you may be right..
