They sell these all the time. Nothing special except that i was on the track for a bit.

No it's not, but it is a real "Festival" or "Parade" car. There are a few threads where the pace car/festival cars are discussed, including a post by CamaroScotty about the car you speak of. Do a search for "pace car" or "indy pace car".

$69,995 1SS - wow, ~$35,000 premium for vinyl and the knowledge it was at Indy - can you imagine if Danica Patrick had won - that would've added another $10-20K on for sure...

That, and according to Indy, the cars for the event were in the 100 first built, a week prior to the regular production cars - including Rick Hendrick's #1 & #2....

One sold on Ebay in 12 hours on a $55,000 buy it now.

The two pace cars were 2SS/RS sticks - the 23 festival cars were 2SS's auto's...and there were two parade cars pacing the race as well, but it is unclear which two they were.

Not quite correct. There are 3 SS/RS M6 pace cars with the lightbar, strobes, etc. and all 3 are "EX" VINed and not street legal. (According to Scott Settlemire the lightbar was custom made so its contour fits the roof and only three were made!)

There are/were 25 2SS A6 Festival cars. Most were early production with 90XXXXX VINs and a few were not and have 91XXXXX VINS. The last batches of them to show up had a few 91XXXXX VINs in them.
Five of the Festival cars had the Indy 500 logo removed and replaced with the Brickyard logo, so far none of those have shown up for sale anywhere. Still trying to determine all the numbers of the five that were converted as they were re-numbered except for one of them.

Also not sure of the first hundred thing, here are a few of the VINs.
#3 - VIN 9000577
#4 - VIN 9000597
#7 - VIN 9000789
#8 - VIN 9000869
#20 - VIN 9000754
#22 - VIN 9101069
