Blue Moon

Text: Lorenz Hart

Blue
blue
blue
blue moon

Blue
blue
blue
blue moon

Blue
blue
blue
blue moon.
Blue moon
you saw me standing alone

Without a dream in my heart

Without a love of my own.
Blue moon
you knew just what I was there for

You heard me saying a pray'r for.
Someone I really could care for.
And then there suddenly appeared before me

The only one my arms will ever hold

I heard somebody whisper
please adore me,
And when I looked the moon had turned to gold!
Blue moon
I'm no longer alone

Without a dream in mv heart.
Without a love of my own.
Blue
blue
blue
blue moon
. . .
Blue
blue
blue
blue moon
. . .
Blue moon.

My 69 Camaro was a medium bright blue metallic, simular to the Jetstream Blue on Vettes. I wish I could order my 2SS/RS in the Jetstream Blue shade...PLEASE GM!

That's a great quote from Scott! I've got a lot of confidence in this guy, and honestly, after hearing the podcast this week, I've got a lot of confidence in Cheryl and John as well. And keep in mind what I posted about Scott's PM to me. "I suspect blue will be made available" was pretty much the jist of what he said. And if you've been on these forums for any length of time, you know it's those subtle but not so subtle responses from Scott that mean, "we're listening, and we're gonna give you what you want, or at least something very close to it". Heck, apparently they've already made the decision to offer the polished wheels as an option on the RS, and we just started that poll a couple of weeks ago!! So as for me, I'm placing an order for my SS with Cyber Gray, all while carrying a very good feeling that the blue issue will work out for me before my order is submitted for production. It's been said again and again, but to quote Scott once more... "Keep the faith!"

Alright I haven't seen anyone say this yet and if they have I'm sorry. Here's my take on this. It's apparent that both blues along with white are the last colors to go on the line and considering that they are probably building v6's first. It's my guess that if GM decided to release the first SS's in blue we would have to wait for the Camaro to be released.
So the question is ...... do you really want blue so much that you are willing to delay the release of the Camaro? Because I think that many people would not be happy with that. And frankly, I don't think that the vast majority of the population would take the excuse.... "an internet community wants a blue SS. Therefore, we will delay the release of the Camaro."

Come on people. You already waited for 2 years. How much longer is a couple of months?

On the other hand if anything I just said is wrong ignore me and feel free to correct me.

It worked for getting polished wheels with the RS package...

HOWEVER -- we DO listen to our customer base -- and so we're going to change the policy -- you WILL be able to order an RS with a polished 20 inch wheel if you so desire -- please give us a few days to change the order tables!

Yay! I stand corrected.

That's a step in the right direction. It's ONE out of THREE things which any TWO of which have to be fixed before I will be happy with the car to place my order.

Now we need Imperial Blue and/or HUD and I'm good to go.

I think that Chevrolet should offer a Heritage Color option on the Camaro. I think that if many of the popular 1st generation color choices could be made an option. Many people would pay a modest price increase for the option. Spread the Heritage Colors option around for the next few years.

Good luck with that. We can't even get them to take the paint gun they already have loaded with blue and point it at an SS that rolls by on the line!

You have to package the idea that Chevrolet can sell even more Camaros. If Chevrolet wants to sell more Camaros, offer the SS in Blue.

The Heritage Color option I proposed is more than just a few hundred dollar money maker. It was commented to drive initial sales. The nostalgic idea behind 1st Gen colors could pull many more impulse buyers into the showroom that may not currently be interested in the Camaro. Many of them in the 40-60 year old range with disposable income. They walk into a dealership, see the car, sign the papers, drive off.

I believe many Camaro enthusiasts of all ages would be willing to happily check off the Heritage Color option if it was offered. IMO it should of been an absolute option when the Camaro was just an idea and somebody was tasked in the research and marketing of the car.

2,944 Camaros ordered in 3 days... imagine how many MORE would have been ordered if there had been a BLUE SS option!
