I don't have a paint chip problem yet but I do have a problem with the drivers door. When shut the door sits in 1/4 inch past the bottem panal. Does anyone else have this issue

Last month during one of our short nice days I hand washed it as described in a post from this great site. I clay bared and waxed the car and I found some chips in the gill areas and I am not happy. I picked up touch-up paint today from the dealer today and I mentioned the chips, but he did not let on if he knows of the problem. He may not know of the problem because he has only sold 3 Camaros. I will stop in to show him the chips this week when it stops raining.
I would be interested in the 3M film. Do you think the dealer would supply it?
I can install it, since I did the stripes.
Update: The dealer gave me the run around. Did not know anything about any complaints and said he would look into it; that was 4 months ago. I talked to other owners and it seems like it is a bigger problem on the larger tires, although the steel wheel model has a few chips and he drives it in the winter.
I do not know, we need to keep the pressure on GM.
