Yeah it was nasty, it ran 4.40s in the 1/8 mile @179mph and 6.70s @220mph in the 1/4

No radiator it ran on Alcohol, I would hook a leaf blower to the water neck after each run to cool it down,the air would blow out where the water pump would have been circulating cool air from the leaf blower. I had a oil temp gauge never went over 170 deg. Alcohol runs extremely cool ,but it sucks if you accidently breath it in !!

I breathed and drank alcohol for years and I wouldn't say it sucked. I had a lot of good times.


Back to the motor dilemma, I would go with a big block old school motor. I can't stand to see modern motors in old cars.

I agree....but

5.3 Junkyard and a turbo.....650rwhp......Check out LS1tech...they do it all the time for $2-3K.
Those little motors are indestructible.....recently they seemed to have moved down to the 4.8s too
even more cylinder wall for higher boost I guess.
