I have a Yellow LT1 RS and my son has a 2006 Corvette. Both are yellow and Zaino is King. My son started me on the product and we find it works very well and does as advertised. What a lot of people refer to as a great shine, is actually the "Wet Look" that it takes on after it's done. Good Stuff.

How well does this product withstand car washes. Is there a certain car wash soap to use? Is there a rejuvenation type spray?

IMO, Zaino holds up the best to repeated washings.

I prefer to use the Zaino Car Wash and an occassional quick detailing with Z-6 Detailing Spray.

I tried some different detail spray after seeing it on some other cars. It's not replacing my Zaino,i just put it on after the Z-6 . It's call Jet Shine,it brings out the metal flake in the paint, especially on the imperial blue cars. It's made by Rock and Roll customs , the guys that painted bumble-bee in the movie.it also works great on the windows after they are already clean,it will minimize the fingerprints on the glass and leave them with a mirror finish (looks like the tint was boosted).

Rock and roll Custom paint

Jet shine detail spray

I ignore the instructions to use a microfiber towel, and use a Zaino towel instead , but that's just me.

I hope this did not offend anyone

If it did, they should be on a different forum.

Hey guys. Sorry to resurrect this thread from the dead. But I'm new to Zaino, new to cleaning and detailing and was hoping for your opinions. I've been reading threads, instructions, and watching youtube videos. I think I'm ready to go; most of my stuff will be here this week. Just curious on any comments about my plans:

Quote:
1) Dawn wash the car

2) Z-7 wasy the car

3) Dry the car

4) Clay bar

5) Rinse car, dry car

6) Z-2 apply, wait, remove

7) Z-6 Gloss

8) Z-5 apply, wait, remove

9) Z-6 Gloss

*Repeat 6-8 for as many coats as I want, using flash cure, etc.*

10) Z-CS
I got applicator pads from Zaino for application. I got Zaino blonde towels for removal. I got a high quality wool wash mit. I got two buckets with grit guards.

I'm a complete noob to all this. But I do thorough research before diving into something new, hence this last step for any advice anyone has. I was going to pay someone to do it but the going rate in Mass is about $250 with claybar. Considering I'm still not at $250 with all the stuff I have bought, and I'm more than capable of doing it myself, I decided to do just that.

Last thing I'll state is that we rent a condo. I will be filling the buckets at home and then going to a self service car wash bay to use their sprayer. I work 4am-9:30am so when I go to these places at 10am on a weekday morning, they are pretty dead. This place has several bays and I'm sure I can occupy one for a few hours. That's my intent. I'll drive home once the first coat is on and can take it off at home once it cures.

I have used Zaino on my Camaro since it was new and have been very pleased with the results. I haven't used the Z-PC Fusion or Z-AIO products on my car, but followed the rest of the steps from their web site.

http://www.zainostore.com/mm5/mercha...s&Store_Code=Z

Note: Apply no more than three coats of Zaino Show Car Polish enabled with ZFX™ in a 24 hour period. For optimum results, use your ZFX™ enabled polish within 6 hours of mixing. Use a fresh cotton buffing towel for removal of each coat.

Looking at your steps above I would probably skip from the Dawn step straight to the claybar step. I'm not sure the extra time and trouble to wash with Z-7 will make any difference.

I would probably start with the Z-5 instead of Z-2 if you are trying to hide imperfections in the paint. Their web site probably has some advice on how to apply multiple layers of Z-5 and/or Z-2.

Good luck with your car!
