The new car looks way better. Edit to add: I wish they would have put the new hood vent on the V6 too. They look badass. Last edited by Zig Zag; 05-03-2014 at 10:44 AM. |

First time I have seen this. I had a 13 1LT that I absolutely adored. I had only seen the '14's in photos and was not a fan. Until I saw a black '14 SS in person. The front end looked more sinister. The rear end looked more sleek. From the side it looked reminiscent of a 3ed Gen. From the rear I could see the heritage from the '69. Bottom line up front I wanted one. Good work, Sir.

If you are worried about how Camaro taillights look, you must be driving a Ford.

For an automobile enthusiast, we are living in a Golden Era. Also for American performance cars, we are seeing vehicles that eclipse those of the 60s and 70s Muscle Car Era. While they are not as many choices as there was then, the performance cars of today are exceptional, and GM has taken it up a couple notches. The guys and gals at GM are giving us what we want. Yes the Z/28 is expensive, but it's hardware warrants that price. The LS7 and those brakes ARE expensive. This cannot be denied. Any business cannot make a case for a product if it will not make them money on each one sold. People need to accept this. Make a great product and sell it at profit!!! If one cannot accept this, go live somewhere else. I just ordered a 14 1LE. A "poor man's" Z/28, but extremely capable in its own right. Last fall, I was hot on getting a '13 1LE. They look great. But I wanted the Recaros, and I really liked the new hood. My choices on a '13 were very limited, really it came down to a used one only. When I saw a '14 1LE in person, I thought it looked good, was indifferent with the nose and tails. Now this is MY opinion, I am entitled to it, don't hate! I can't change YOUR opinion. It was a RS, and I actually prefer a non-RS tails and headlights. IMHO, I thought the 10-13s where getting long on tooth, a beautiful design, but time for a change. the '14s offer a more modern interpretation, looks meaner. Style and design is mostly subjective. Anytime I see a photo of a car for the first time, I always take it with a grain of salt UNTIL I see it in person. Judgement will be held for that moment because perspective changes when you see them in person. That being said, it is foolish/childish for some people to go a little nuts and get emotional after change. There are bigger things in life to get worked up over, not a car. I understand that passion may fuel a bit of that, but realistically, they have to admit that GM cannot please everyone. Sometimes on forums I just shake my head at some responses of people Fact: The current Z/28 is more true to its original basis than at any time in Camaro's history. Thank You Mark Ruess, Scott Settlemire , Al Oppenheiser, Ed Welburn, Mark Stielow, and everyone at GM who design, engineer and build this car.

The real tail lights are still horrific! I love the Camaro but those things are ugly, so many of my friends who own the Camaro can't figure out why they even thought it was okay.

I'll purchase another Camaro, but first I have to see what the brand new one is like and if it can beat the new Mustang that is coming out. Ford is doing big things with their vehicles, its hard to say that because i'm a Chevy guy, but gotta give credit where credit is due.
