When you install your g-force, you can achieve the same boost in the manifold without the turbos working as hard by adjusting the gain setting on the g-force. The best way to install the g-force is to hook up the solenoid as it is shown in the image by the green hoses and orange solenoid. This will greatly reduce the amount of hose needed making a more responsive system. The pressure line coming out of the g-force head unit will be connected to the manifold in the same place that the hose marked by the blue arrow connects to.

The amount of boost that the manifold receives will now be controlled by the g-force’s gain, duty and sensitivity settings which can be tailored to your desired boost level.

Since the solenoid is mounted to close to the road, the boost bleed outlet will need to be waterproofed or shielded from any water or debris.
Using only the bottom nipple like that will only work well on a closed loop controller and only if you are adjusting boost pretty close to the wastegate's spring pressure. And even then, at best, it will only hold flat boost level. On an AEM or other 'dumb' controller that would give a huge boost drop at redline. The way I showed above is applying pressure to the top of the wastegate to hold the valve closed against the exhaust pressure. This gives you a huge adjustment range and the ability to have the boost slightly rise toward redline that has many advantages. Having the broader adjustment range opens the opportunity to run 8psi in 1st, 12psi in 2nd and 18psi 3rd+. (That's where our new digital MPH switch will come into play.)

In v2.24 HPT, you had to use a equation manually entered which was in the Help pages. In v3, they have a Boost [Math - User] function that you can. I'm not sure what it uses for Atmospheric Pressure, 14.7 or the Baro from the car. It will read negative when vacuum.

After looking at the video it actually is the same set up that I have now but I do like how you installed the solenoid so when I get a chance I will have to change that and eliminate a short hose, what is the mph switch, not like my set up needs it but maybe down the line

That's crazy that in this day and age any modern controller doesnt have some degree of closed loop control...and the AEM isnt even dirt cheap !

That's a huge FAIL on AEM's part.

You'd maybe expect that for a $100 controller, not something 3x the price.

Sorry guys i didn't get a notification that anyone responded on the thread. I did a leak down and compression test and the results were 35-55% leakage in each cylinder. Working on deciding what route to go.

My sentiments exactly. I thought it was a pretty decent one but i later find out its considered a dumb boost controller.

That type of leakage in every cylinder sounds like bent valves to me. Hopefully you get her fixed up and back on the road soon!

That type of leakage on every cylinder sounds like test conducted incorrectly or equipment not working right

He did also mention a compression test was done...what where those results ?

That is possible because it was my first time trying to use the leak down tester. But when i used it the catch can was bubbling up.

Compression test was roughly these figures below

#1 -185 #2- 180
#3- 135 #4- 175
#5- 140 #6- 165
#7- 135 #8- 170
