Well I plan on doing back to back pulls, installing the VR while strapped down. But maybe I'll come back a month later and do one final pull after everything has settled in to see if there's a change.

But what do you mean by "once the VR goes on, the TB doesn't matter"?

If you install the VR on the dyno, you'll likely get false high readings. It is one intake that needs time for the computer to adjust.

VMax TB - I didn't state that well. The ECM doesn't need to do enough, if any, adjusting for that TB. You can swap between it and a stock TB as you wish. Hope that helps.

Ok, after some shipping issues, I finally received my VMAX TB today. Just last night, though, I read that the EB3 dyno was lousy by several members, so I need to find another local shop with a dyno and good reputation. Hopefully this will happen fairly soon now.

How do I tell if I got the "no tune" VR? That's the way it was sold to me, but how do I make sure? There was no indication on the box or the unit.

It must have had a label on the box that said no-tune or street version. But Steve, mentioned in another thread that the no-tune had a MAF screen (honeycomb) and the opening was a little oval compared to perfect circle on the tune version. On mine you had to look close to see that it wasn't perfectly round.

Thanks! I've got the screen for the MAF, I guess it's no tune.

Ok, I've got some dyno time scheduled at Mach V Motorsports (In Sterling, myersff) on their Dynojet next Friday, May 20th.

Here's my revised plan, based on feedback from you guys. I'll do 3-4 stock pulls, then put on the Vararam and Vmax TB while still strapped down and do 3-4 more pulls with no other changes.

I'll then leave, put on my canned diablo tune and put 100+ miles on it. I'll then return a week or so later and have one more set of 3-4 pulls to see if the tune and learning time made any final differences.

They must have determined the screen was the best solution for everyone.
