Titanium lug nuts and wheel studs?

Anyone interested in a titanium lug nut and wheel stud kit? the nuts alone do not save much weight like the studs also would do.
We are planing on making them.

What is the estimated weight savings over stock with a full stud/nut setup? And the corresponding weight reduction to my wallet?

Aluminum lug nuts

I have been using hardened aluminum lug nuts for 3 years now and have had no problems with stripping or lugs coming loose. I have saved almost 5 Lbs. That's over a pound a wheel.

I thought so too. The idea of Skylane765, also the studs in Titanium, I would also like to do. But I have not found a company that offers pressed studs in Titanium.

Are the rotors a steel center? If so how do you propose countering galvanic corrosion on those pressed in studs? I’ve done years of corrosion work in designing oilfield coatings here in Oklahoma...and studs slowly corroding after being pressed in could lead to catastrophic failure.

Therefore I would replace the steel studs with titanium studs, but I do not know who offers pressed titanium studs.

That’s why I asked - the rotor structure is steel, pressing Ti lugs into that WILL cause galvanic corrosion, at the steel-titanium interface..you need an anti corrosive on the Ti lugs to prevent the inevitable corrosion. Potentially a passivation coating that is applied via a flame ionization might work, for a perfect product.

Okay, thanks.

And how about the connection between the oem studs and titanium lug nuts - are there any problems?
