Hawk ceramic brake pads...WTF???

I don't remember how much dust there was with the stock pads, but there was a ton. Switched to the hawk ceramics and there's still a lot of brake dust. I thought they were supposed to be ultra low dust??

Which pads did you go with. I have the Hawk yellow pads, and the brake dust is greatly reduced.

I saw a few threads saying the pads would reduce stock dusting, so I bought them. After buying them I saw a few different members stating that the Hawk pads dust ALMOST as bad as stock so I returned them.

Apparently they aren't that great at reducing dust.

I personally like the Hawks I have. They did reduce the dust by at least 50 percent

There must be a lot of varying results with them then cause I had a few members tell me they dusted pretty much the same as stock.

I've had the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads (yellow box) on my car for almost two years. For a supposedly "ultra-low dust" pad they sure seem to generate a lot more dust than I expected. I'm sure they reduce dust, but in my opinion the reduction is not enough to justify the cost to switch.

Compared to stock I have almost zero dust now. Well worth the switch.

It seem to me that the hawk ceramics did dust initially but after a few miles of use the dusting is very minimum now.
